A suspect arrested over alleged child trafficking in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has accused a woman identified as Madam Nkechi of recruiting her to pick up children found roaming the streets in exchange for financial compensation.
The suspect reportedly made the allegation during questioning following her arrest alongside other suspects by the police in connection with an alleged child trafficking operation in the FCT.
The suspect claimed that Nkechi had presented herself as the operator of an orphanage and promised to pay her for every child she brought to her.
