The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State has swelled in number as over 400 members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party defected to the ruling party in Garun Kurama Ward.
The defection ceremony held on Tuesday at Kadiri, Garun Kurama, was agog as residents stormed the venue to witness the formal denouncement of their former parties.
Among the notable decampees was Mr Yahaya Kazah, a staunch PDP loyalist, who led scores of others to dump their parties for what they described as the broom party’s purposeful leadership.
