Nigeria’s headline inflation rate declined to 14.63 per cent in September 2026, down from 15.39 per cent recorded in August, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The latest figures indicate a slowdown in the country’s inflation rate, offering a positive signal for an economy grappling with rising living costs and persistent pressure on household purchasing power.
The NBS disclosed the figures in its Consumer Price Index report released on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
